Google Email

Is it time to move your email to Google - and let the billion dollar geniuses handle the problem for backups and archiving for you?

You bet it is!

With a few reservations*, Google does an awesome job of handling your corporate email. For a fee, they can backup and archive email like nobody's business and make it available  remotely like no other company.

While outsourcing your email isn't perfect - it's typically a lot better that doing it yourself. Just like having your own septic tank, it's better to hook up to the municipal sewage treatment system - it's cheaper, it just works and you don't end up covered in s#it when it backs up on you.

Google does such a good job, that it makes us giddy to recommend it whole hardily.

Costs: It's free. Not kidding! Google hopes you'll log into their web-based email and see some low-key advertisements on the side. IF you don't like this you can give them a few bucks and they'll stop showing the small adds. Remember, the ads are only there if you use their web application to view email. If you'd like their carrier grade backup and archive  system- it will cost you $50 per user per year.

* Some of our customers must take into consideration certain laws like HIPPA, and SoX when deploying Google Email - and can easily overcome regulatory requirements by cleverly dividing their email between owned and our-sourced systems.
